This article tells you how to enable SSL encryption for SSL POP3, SSL IMAP and SSL SMTP in Outlook.
- Open Outlook
- Click File > Account Settings > Account Settings…
- Select your email account and click Change…
- Change the following settings:
Incoming mail server: Â
 Enter mail.example.com, replacing example.com with your domain name. Â
Outgoing mail server (SMTP):
 Enter mail.example.com, replacing example.com with your domain name. - Click More Settings …
- Click the Advanced tab.
- Change the following settings:
IMAP accounts
Incoming Server (IMAP) – Use the following type of encrypted connection:
 Select SSL
Outgoing Server (SMTP) – Use the following type of encrypted connection: Â
 Select SSL
POP3 accounts
Incoming Server (POP3) – This server requires an encrypted connection (SSL):
 Checked
Outgoing Server (SMTP) – Use the following type of encrypted connection: Â
 Select SSL - Click OK
- Click Next
- Click Finish
